Since a couple of weeks or so (don't know exactly) I'm having regular lockups with SMP kernels. and because the system freezes completely I see no traces as to what is going on. The only way to recover is to pull the plug. I would be most grateful for information on a) how to try to find out what is happening and

It's a great product, but it keeps causing hard lockups. I've had no trouble at all with USB Overdrive on OS 8.6 and 9.0.4, but am using it just for my mouse. Using USB overdrive with 9.1 No lockups. Under Linux, my system runs under X just fine, other than the occasional (every 30 minutes) lockups. I think any program that uses tkl will cause a lockup, especially if I run more than one app such as xv for my background and then netscape. When I say "lockup", I mean it. I can't even reboot.
